We were invited by one of the founders of Windmills, a local charity group who raise money for families of children with health issues and disabilities , to come and do a display at the Teddy Bears Picnic, an annual multi-charity fun day organised by the Corby Carnival Association. This time we asked our students if they would like to participate, which they did. We ran a twenty minute display that consisted of a trouble town
race and patterns, and invited onlookers to join in if they wished.
We also donated a raffle prize to Windmills of a month’s free training at our club. Lisa and Jolene of Windmills, who we supported at this event, won the Community Spirit Award at the Spirit of Corby Awards 2013.
