Town Mayors Sunday (at the Peoples park – Banbury)

Many students (approx 25) braved the hot sun and joined us to help run a stall at this event. Our students talked to anyone passing by and the children gave leaflets to everyone.

We were invited to this event by Banbury Town Council (who know us from previous events we have attended such as the Canal Day and the Banbury show).

Students gave up their time to talk to potential new students, hand out leaflets and to perform demonstrations in the main arena. The students were asked to take part in the hobby horse race on the day, against other clubs and societies and against the Mayor! We didn’t win but the whole team had a jolly good laugh trying! We had many enquiries on the day and gained one new student and helped to encourage other family members, of existing students, to join up.
